Viking Eggeling(1880-1925) was an artist and film maker from Lund, Sweden. In Paris in the early 20's, he and Hans Richter started experimenting with the film medium which eventually led to Eggeling completing the "Symphonie Diagonale" in 1924, just before he died in May 1925 at the age of 45. Here's a version that combines a piece for 10-string guitar and electronics by Swedish composer Henrik Frisk with this experimental film classic.
